Brueghel Large Flower Still Life Fine Art Needlepoint Tapestry Kit 23 x 35

  
This needlepoint tapestry kit was made in Mid Century West Germany by "AS" which may stand for Atelier Schmidt. It depicts one of the numerous fine art flower still life or Blumenstuck paintings by 17th century artist Jan Brueghel the Elder. The printed cotton penelope 12/24 gauge canvas is quite large, 23 by 35 inches, design area is over 19 by 27. The wool tapestry yarn needed to complete the project encompasses two boxes (the front of one box is shown in the first photo). The unsealed kit was stored for decades in a cedar chest with many other needlepoint canvases and kits. It's unused but some of the wool yarns have a few threads and fibers from contact with other pieces. Be sure to take a look at my other listings.
